Our story

Tricoastal Games began as a conversation between three designers, on three coasts, about what they wished they could find on a shelf: games with the depth of a long campaign and the tightness of a great two-hour session; games that ask a real question of the people sitting around them; games that respect the table’s time.

We build slowly, prototype constantly, and ship only when a game has earned the shelf space it’s asking for. Every title we publish has spent years on tables with strangers, friends, and the occasional skeptic.

What we make

Our catalog is small on purpose. We focus on cooperative and semi-cooperative experiences with strong mechanical identities — trick-taking, deckbuilding, route-running, area control — wrapped around worlds we genuinely want to spend time in. Each game is designed to feel like itself, not a variation on the last.

Our philosophy

We believe a great board game is a small machine for generating real moments between real people. We design for the choices you remember on the drive home, not the components in the box. Theme, mechanics, and pacing are pulled tight against each other — if a rule isn’t earning its weight, it gets cut.
